    1J79 soft magnetic alloy is widely used in the radio electronics industry, precision instruments, remote control and automatic control systems, and can be used to manufacture high-frequency transformers, chokes, inductor cores, precision current transformers, current sensors, magnetic shielding components, read/write heads for magnetic tapes and disks, and magnetostrictive sensors.

    1J79 is a nickel-iron-based soft magnetic alloy with excellent magnetic properties. The following is a detailed description:


    I. Chemical Composition:


    Nickel content: 78.5%-80.0%, iron: balance, manganese content: 0.6%-1.1%, silicon content: 0.3%-0.5%, molybdenum content: 3.8%-4.1%, copper content: ≤0.2%, carbon content: ≤0.03%, phosphorus content: ≤0.02%, sulfur content: ≤0.02%.


    - Physical Properties: Density: 8.6 g/cm³, resistivity at 20℃: 0.55 Ω·mm²/m, coefficient of linear expansion (20℃-200℃): 10.3×10⁻⁶/℃ - 11.5×10⁻⁶/℃, saturation magnetostriction coefficient: 2.0×10⁻⁶, Curie point: 450℃.


    II. Mechanical Properties:


    Yield strength: 980 MPa, tensile strength: 1030 MPa, elongation: 3%-50%.


    III. Magnetic Properties:


    Magnetic properties vary with the thickness of the strip/sheet. For 0.01mm thick strip, initial permeability μ₀.₀₈ ≥ 17.5 mH/m, maximum permeability μm ≥ 87.5 mH/m, coercivity Hc ≤ 5.6 A/m, saturation magnetic induction: 0.75 T; for 0.1-0.19mm thick strip, initial permeability μ₀.₀₈ ≥ 25.0 mH/m, maximum permeability μm ≥ 162.5 mH/m, coercivity Hc ≤ 2.4 A/m, etc.


    IV. Main Characteristics:


    It has extremely high magnetic permeability, extremely low coercivity, and near-zero magnetostriction. It can efficiently conduct magnetism under weak magnetic fields, has very low hysteresis loss, and its high resistivity reduces eddy current loss.
